Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA – June 11, 2013 – Roadtrek Motorhomes, the leading class B manufacturer in North America, hosted a very successful rally from May 20th to 24th to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Five hundred Roadtrek owners in 259 Roadtreks from all over the U.S. and Canada gathered to enjoy several days with Roadtrek senior management, sales staff, engineering representatives, and service technicians in beautiful Branson, Missouri.
At the Branson Rally, Roadtrek introduced its 40th Anniversary Edition model. Built on the Chevy Express 3500 van chassis, this exciting new product includes 205 watts of Solar, 3000 watt inverter, 3500 watt engine generator, 4 coach batteries, new bamboo décor, new carpets, stainless steel exterior trim, all season RVing (no more winterizing!), the Alde hydronic heat and hot water system, and many more exciting features!!!!! In addition, Roadtrek also displayed its full product line, and introduced new color schemes and styles of décor on its newest products. These products also include the camping focused CS-Adventurous and the technology focused E-trek, both built on the Mercedes Sprinter 3500 van chassis. It was an exciting week for new products, and it was important to get direct feedback from owners, and share knowledge.
Upon arrival, all attendees were offered a free exterior vehicle wash. Roadtrek technicians and engineers provided free technical support to all attendees. To support the owners hundreds of minor repairs, training and improvements were completed. Seminars where given on various topics of interest: solar and power management, fast winterizing, electronics training, and generator maintenance. A separate event was organized to collect owners’ feedback on design improvements.
Throughout the week attendees enjoyed delicious meals, and all sorts of first-rate entertainment, including Clay Cooper with the group from his “Oh What a Night” show; Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show Theatre; Frankie Valli Singers, including photographs and autographs; Hillbilly Party; singing and dancing with the Lennon Cathart Singers (brothers of the Lennon Sisters) and The Platters.
Other activities included a golf tournament (with a hole-in-one prize of brand new Roadtrek); Roadtrek “Olympic Games”; buses to various Branson attractions and shopping areas; and a caricaturist on site. Roadtrek provided delicious catered meals throughout the event. A great time was had by all!
Although the tornado dampened spirits on the first day, $2000 was successfully raised during the rally for the Moore Public Schools Tornado Relief Fund.
"It is a rare opportunity to get such a large group of our owners together with a multi-disciplinary group of staff, share notes, and gain the benefit of knowledge of our end users, the ones who really know what is going on out in the field,” noted Roadtrek President Jim Hammill.
“We held this rally to thank our owner body, who we owe so much to for the many years of loyalty and participation with us. We look forward to another forty years leading the Class B marketplace for engineered products, with the latest technology, highest quality, while providing first rate customer service,” added Andy Weller, Roadtrek’s Chairman.
