Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA – June 20, 2013 – Roadtrek Motorhomes, the leading class B manufacturer in North America, is announcing the departure of Jeff Hanemaayer, from his current position of Vice President of Marketing.
Jeff sold the majority of Roadtrek Motorhomes to Chicago based investment firm Industrial Opportunity Partners in April of 2011. With an experienced management team in place, he gradually became less involved in the day to day business over the last two years. He will continue as a director and minority shareholder.
Jeff’s accomplishments in the RV Industry are very prestigious and will have a lasting impact on the RV community. His development of the modern Class B concept, and the subsequent dominance of the Roadtrek brand in the marketplace, has made Roadtrek the target of many industry competitors, who have copied Jeff and his father Jac’s design concepts.
Jeff contributed a great deal to the Canadian RV Association, the Canadian equivalent to the U.S. RV Industry Association. He was a driving force behind the creation of industry marketing group Go RVing Canada, working with others in the CRVA and RV Dealers Association of Canada. He has also participated as a member of RVIA's Board of Directors for many years, being the first Canadian to do so.
"Jeff's choice to move on in his life, away from Roadtrek, is the culmination of 31 years of being the key driver of the development of Class B Motorhomes", said Jim Hammill, Roadtrek’s President. "He leaves behind a legacy that he should be proud of. He changed and defined an important segment of the RV industry, and should be extremely proud of that accomplishment."
"We wish Jeff, the very best in his future personal and business prospects", said Hammill. "Roadtrek is a strong company and strong brand in the RV Industry, and Jeff was one of the key forces that made that happen."
