Roadtrek®TM Owners Quotes
This is our 4th Roadtrek. Our first was a 1988. Our 2006 has an amazing number of improvements over our previous Roadtrek.
Robert Myers, Mesa, Arizona
By far the Roadtrek is the best overall vehicle I have ever owned, and I have owned allot. Mostly luxury vehicles but this is the best.
Paul Douglas, Ransomville, New York
We have taken many long trips in the spring, summer and fall and we are thoroughly enjoying our Roadtrek. When we first arrive at a campground we joke about if tonight we will be an "RV" or a Van. It depends where the nicest site is, and we are happy to be able to "switch identities" back and forth. Not all Americans believe that bigger is better, before we found the Roadtrek we were very frustrated shopping for an RV. We are so pleased to have found such a wonderful small rig that is so well designed. It has everything we need.
Thank you for a great product and many happy travels.
I have wanted a Roadtrek since 1997 and I finally have one and I LOVE IT!
Martha Riedl, Willowbrook, Illinois
My new 210-Versatile is beautifully engineered, assembled with the utmost care and is absolutely a joy to own! Thank you.
John & Eleanore Frame, Bluemound, Wisconsin
After taking the wonderful tour of your plant, we embarked on our trip to Alaska, all the way through Canada. We logged 11,080 miles on our 2003 Roadtrek Versatile with absolutely no problems at all. We were on the road 45 days and stayed in the Roadtrek every night in all kinds of weather. We were very comfortable the entire trip. Having our private bathroom and kitchen made our trip enjoyable and economical. Speaking of economical, we averaged between 14 and 16 MPG in all types of weather and terrain. Thanks for manufacturing such a fine vehicle. What a great way to travel.
Wayne & Cinda Hollister, Richmond, Ohio
I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know just how pleased we are with the purchase of our new Roadtrek Versatile 190. We had looked at many types and makes of motorhomes before deciding on the Roadtrek as the most logical choice...
We have owned our Roadtrek for some 8 months now and have enjoyed every minute of it. The Roadtrek is very well designed, incredibly functional and an excellent value. The design contributes to ease and simplicity of use, making for much more enjoyable outings. The motorhome has most everything the larger class C and A's have, but in a smaller package. The compact size of the Roadtrek is a major advantage, allowing for a pleasant driving experience and ease of parking.
Probably the most definitive example of the ease of use of the Roadtrek is to make a comparison to a neighbor of mine. My neighbor has a very large class A diesel pusher that has only been driven on one or two outings in the last year. While the "class A" is nice once you arrive at the destination, the driving of such a monster vehicle leaves the driver totally exhausted by the time you arrive at the destination. The real gauge of a successful motorhome purchase is the extent to which you actually use the motorhome. Because of the ease of use of the Roadtrek we have used it extensively, even for trips to the restaurant or shopping.
Thanks for producing such an expertly crafted and well designed motorhome. The Roadtrek has provided myself and my family many hours of enjoyment. We look forward to many more years of fun and adventure in your motorhome.
Bruce D. Brown, Alta Loma, California
We love taking it on vacation, it's so easy to use. Every thing is ready to go. Just add water, food & clothes and we are off.
Gidean Holcomb, Sutter, California
We totally love our Roadtrek. We use it often - I drive it daily to work. We go to Roadtrek International rallies. They are great fun and the folks in the club are super. Overall a top-notch product. We will buy another one down the road!
Patrick Shubird, Daphne, Alabama
Just this week, our greatest RV dreams have come true: We were able to trade up from our '82 Xplorer to a Roadtrek!... we always dreamed that "one day" we'd trade up to something a little roomier. Just what that would be, we didn't know. Most bigger vans were boxy and unappealing, and nothing seemed to get even acceptable mileage.
Then in 1999, I saw my first Roadtrek! It was enchantment at first sight... My husband fell in love with its aerodynamics, design, and efficiency, as much as I loved its spaciousness, light, coziness, and comfort. We sent for the video and brochures, which convinced us that our dream van existed, if only we could someday achieve it. So it has been our fantasy, almost a plan, that "someday when we retire (if this Barge holds out), maybe we can finally get that Roadtrek!"
It was a dream deferred, and we knew we'd have to plan carefully, be patient, and save up for it. In the meantime, we've eagerly asked about and admired every Roadtrek we've been able to see in person. Roadtrek owners turned out to be genuinely happy campers, proud to show and talk about their lovely little homes-on-the-road, the performance and accommodations, the wisdom of the investment.
Last week we got lucky, years earlier than we had expected... I saw one was a Roadtrek--a 200... The 2003 Roadtreak Versatile was gorgeous, spotless, better and better with every square foot we were shown. The test drive was a dream. But the price was a real shock--a bargain, something we could possibly afford. And when the sales office offered us a great trade-in value for our Xplorer, we realize, This Is It.
...We may not be retired yet, but apparently we're already in Heaven.
Thank you for creating a dedicated vehicle that, new or used, stays within the reach of people like us who are not wealthy but who really want to use a motorhome-van for its best purpose: to travel and briefly to "live" in new and different places. We know how lucky we are, and we are delighted to join the Roadtrek family... Thanks for your great work, intelligent planning, and loving attention to detail. Everything we see, touch, and use in our new Roadtrek is a joy and a reassurance.
Ann Weber & John Quigley, Asheville, North Carolina
This is the best vehicle purchase I have ever made! I needed a vehicle that could take me to work every day, fit in the parking garage at work, not violate my neighbors parking restrictions, and be a full feature motohome. Our 170-Popular does all this and more. It is very well built and laid out. We just love it. I smile every day as I drive it to work and look forward to our next trip.
Patrick Shubird, Daphne, Alabama
[Mother & Roadtrek owner] had about 3 Great West, 3 Pleasure-Ways and nothing that she had compares to yours, yours is the best so far...
Daughter of Edna Ossington, Vernon, British Columbia
I fell in love with Roadtrek in the early 90s at a RV show. I knew the moment I sat in one it was love at first sight. I saved for nine years to make this dream come true. No other vehicle ever made me think twice about getting a Roadtrek.
Jane Parody, Sioux Falls, South Dakota
We have camped for more than 40 years and vacationed in pop-ups and Bluebirds. Just prior to our retirement four years ago, we began researching motorhomes. We knew from experience that a Class B would be our choice. After doing extensive research we chose Roadtrek and have been very pleased with our decision. [Dealer] and [Service, Warranty & Parts Manager] have proven on more than one occasion, that Roadtrek is the best in the industry.
Betty & Jim Weite, Ormond Beach, Florida
We have a '96 190 Roadtrek... We love it and everywhere we go people stop us and want to talk about our unit. Thanks to you we have lots of good things to tell them.
Frances McGonagill, Corpus Christi, Texas
We only hope our Roadtrek outlasts us! Also, we like it so MUCH better than any other Class B.
Thanks for a good product which we are thouroughly enjoying. In fact, we just finished living in it entirely for six weeks with lots of rain and never got cabin fever.
Thank you Roadtrek!
Carl & Helen Marschner, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin
Your vans have such a great reputation, that I know this is the only company I will be looking at for a purchase. I have researched other class B motorhomes, and Roadtrek is simply the best!
Scott Lucareli, Racine, Wisconsin
Everything about this tiny motorhome fits me and my lifetime perfectly. I am enjoying meeting other Roadtrek owners on the road and have not met one yet who is not extremely happy owning their vehicle as I am.
Thank you for building a superior product.
Ms Sammie Dansby, Wimauma, Florida
As a dedicated RV'er, I wish to salute and thank you and your company for consistently turning out superb products. ...I have driven and traveled in them and have delighted in their uniform quality and thoughtful engineering...
We've been researching lots of vehicles over the years, and never found one that seemed "just right" until Jean showed us your brochure and told us about the trip she was planning in one of your motorhomes. We both instantly felt that we had found the perfect vehicle for our tour! Not too big, not too small, but JUST RIGHT!!! Good gas mileage, plenty of storage space for musical instruments and puppets, small enough to drivability Comfortably, but so well-planned and well-made that we could see ourselves (and our small dogs) traveling in comfort and style...
Kate Schuerch, Hilo, Hawaii
I'm an Engineer by degree and am facinated by your exceptionally efficient design! My congratulations on a superb product!
My goal is to offer you an UNRIVALLED combination of product design, quality, price, and customer service. Period.
Jeff Hanemaayer, Chairman, Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc.
Roadtrek is proving to be the standard by which all others are measured.
I would like to let everyone know that my 190-Popular is the finest equipment that I have ever owned. Thanks again.
The Roadtrek is, in my opinion, the "Cadillac" of RVs. It goes anywhere and looks beautiful and has fulfilled my dreams of what a motorhome should be and still drives like a car.

[Why did you select a Roadtrek?] Let me count the ways: Storage space, showers, layout, interior space, gas stove, generator, aerodynamic design, mileage claim, counter space, features the other vehicles lacked.

We are very pleased with the Veraltile and think Roadtrek campers are the best in the class.
We found that the large motor home was not fulfilling our needs because we wanted the freedom to run around without hassles of hooking up tow vehicles, worry about getting down a road with no place to turn around, etc. We looked at other vans of this type and none compare with the Roadtrek. There is so much thought put into it.

...The things that make us most happy about our Roadtrek are the quality of design and layout. It is the most carefully thought out and comfortable camper van we have yet found. We most enjoy the feeling of openness without compromising great storage. We think it is the best looking camper on the road too. Congratulations! on delivering an attractive high quality product...
Roadtrek is a fantastic rig. My previous two rigs had roof leaks, body rattles and squeaks and were difficult to winterize and service. Roadtrek sits in the yard and is ready to go in 15 minutes. It is the most convenient rig I have ever owned.
Jack & Wink Hoyt, Galena, Ohio
I was not an RV person until we saw the Roadtrek. Our whole lives have changed for the better! Whoever thought of putting that much in a 19 feet van must be a genius. If I were a young man I would apply for a position to sell this vehicle of "Happiness on Wheels"... I have to close of my letter now, as we are getting ready for another trip. We have our Willie Nelson tape already to play "On The Road Again". Thank you!
Bob & Winn Stahlmann, Leesburg, Florida
After camping in a tent for over 33 years my husband and I decided that there must be a more comfortable alternative. We still preferred to camp in state and national campgrounds, though, and the bigger 'rigs' removed us from the rustic outdoors more than we wanted. We shopped around for about a year... We took delivery of our "Roadtrek" in August of this year and I must tell you that we absolutely love it!!! It gets us everywhere we want to go with comfort and ease. You haven't left anything out; it has everything we need and more. We actually feel a bit guilty on a cold damp morning snug in our "Roadtrek" while other campers struggle to get a campfire lit for warmth and coffee. It sure beats a tent! There's one problem, however, because it's so comfortable and quiet - we sleep too late! Thanks for a wonderful product.
Susan & John Powers, Pittsford, New Jersey
Best value for the price; most complete facilities for size, Roadtrek 170-Popular; most suitable interior design; excellent fuel economy despite sufficient power.
Kenneth Beers, Dayton, Ohio
Obvious quality of product and workmanship plus well thought out design and engineering. I have owned class A and class C motorhomes. Roadtrek is miles ahead in efficient design, high quality materials and workmanship.
Samuel Johnson, MD, Laguna Hills, California
We shopped long and carefully to find the right vehicle... Once we saw the Roadtrek, we knew we found it. The bath/dressing area, kitchen layout, storage etc., are by far the best of anything we've seen. When we travel, we get many compliments on the appearance of the vehicle. The standard van width and length is a very important issue for us. If we go to a nice restaurant, we do not want to wonder if there will be parking spaces big enough for a big motorhome. With a Roadtrek, we never have to worry about it. We can go anywhere.
We saw no other van that offered as much as Roadtrek for comfort and efficiency... We were extremely comfortable even on the cold mornings and found the van handled very well even on some very windy days.
Burgess, Shandaken, New York
Best layout for its size, easy, handling on the road, ease of moving around inside camper, wonderful storage areas... We couldn't be more pleased with our Roadtrek. It is such a solid well-built unit...
David Romig, Warren, Michigan
I have great admiration for Mr. Hanemaayer's [Roadtrek's originator] genius and dedication to creating and perfecting a superior product.
William & Alice Heaton, Calabasas, California
[We] sold our home... Six months and [25,000 miles] later we returned [home]. The Roadtrek was phenomenal. Its layout and features allowed us great flexibility in our travels... The Roadtrek went everywhere and anywhere, with ease. It was comfortable, easy to drive, great mileage, great sleeping comfort and was spacious enough that even our 80 pound Lab was no trouble. In 6 months we spent all of 5 days in a motel!! ...we were completely inexperienced, but with the Roadtrek's extensive and user-friendly systems, RVing was a treat right from day one. Lest I forget, talk about holding its value: we sold our Roadtrek two years after we bought it for within $1200 of what we paid for it!! What more can I say. The Roadtrek is one beautiful machine.
Lynda & David MacMahon, North York, Ontario
We are very impressed with the thoughtfulness and cleverness of your engineers. John is a veteran finish carpenter whose eye for detail and workmanship misses nothing. He has said that he had given up believing that you could buy a product of such high quality anymore. Thanks for making such a great product with obvious care. What a relief it is to feel so pampered and safe in your van compared to the awful feelings we had about the [other manufacturer's RV] we bought last year and sold last month!
Kathleen Mensing & John Vasill, Missoula, Montana
We covered a total of 7000 miles in 20 days and thoroughly enjoyed every mile... The Roadtrek performed admirably throughout the trip, and at no time did we wish we were traveling in any other type of RV. We are convinced that for 2 or 3 people the Roadtrek 170 is the perfect vehicle, combining all the best features of a large camping rig with the worry-free maneuverability of a van... Camping in the Roadtrek was so simple and convenient. No jacks to struggle with, and so easy to park and level. The primitive campsites were the simplest of all. Just pull in and the fully self-contained unit is all set. ...the bed was far better than we had dared hope for in a camping unit.
My wife and I highly recommend the Roadtrek 170 as a money saving combined camping rig/second car option to anyone interested in part-time excursions into the great outdoors... Thank you all for building such a fine and attractive motorhome as the Roadtrek 170. Keep up the good work and HAPPY TREKKING to all.
James & Julie Mager, Ishpeming, Michigan
From its clever, compact and quality use of every inch of space to its sleek look, from the back roads of the Northwest to the busy streets of DC and the narrow lanes of New England, the Roadtrek accommodated our needs for comfort, charm, performance and economy. We love it!... RV shows led me to believe I needed more than 19 or 21 feet for fulltiming. We ended up with a larger motorhome for awhile... Then... we down sized to the 19 foot Roadtrek. It has served us well for over a year now. We are able to travel easily with no tow vehicle. Our mileage is better, our insurance lower, and best of all, I can and do drive it. It takes us to beautiful places, to visit lots of wonderful family, and to the local supermarket...
Gael P. Mustapha, Green Valley, Arizona
LOVE IT!!!! Its beauty, craftsmanship, value, layout, size, gas mileage, driveability on highway. Amazed every time we take it out.
Nancy Cramer, Guyton, Georgia
Sometimes there exists some classics that have to be put in a class by themselves. Roadtrek is such a product.

I believe the Roadtrek has every feature a person could want in a vehicle of its type and size. In fact, it's so unique and there is nothing to match it. I know, for I've spent 4 years looking!!!

My prior van was a [competitor's camper van] which I thought was well built until your fine product came my way. Your organization turns out one neat and rationally engineered marvel. Thanks.
John Leneweaver, Langhorne, Pennsylvania
My "Roadtrek 190-Popular" has nearly 13,000 miles on it. So far, I am truly a "happy camper". Thanks for designing a truly "campers' camper".
Joann Marshall, Seattle, Washington
This is the fourth motor home we have had and is the best.
L Weathers, Fountain Hills, Arizona
I have always owned one type of RV or another over the past 30 years, from class A to class C. I consider the Roadtrek the best engineered, developed and constructed RV for its size of any I have ever owned or seen on the market.
Gary & Jane Alden, Destin, Florida
I think [my Roadtrek] is the best designed vehicle of its kind that I have ever seen. I have camped in just about everything from tents, folding trailers, travel trailers, camper vans to the Roadtrek. When I first saw it the utilization of space and the abundance of storage room sold me on the vehicle.
Robert Gourley, Newton Falls, Ohio
I've been looking for the perfect motor home 25 years. I finally found it!

The 190-Popular comes the closest to fulfilling our "wish" list which we have been compiling for over 25 years, for a quality RV designed primarily for just two people... Our likes are a large temporary bathroom, lighting everywhere, exquisite craftsmanship, clean lump-free exterior, storage and neat, tasteful, understated, non-psychotic exterior graphics!
